Elaine R. Richelieu is a senior associate whose primary focus
is civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and
insurance defense. She is a trained and skilled negotiator
with a record of highly successful trial results.
Ms. Richelieu received her law degree from
Monterey College of law in 1987. She attended Hunter College
in New York City where she majored in art and philosophy and
was awarded a scholarship from the Art League of New York
City. She obtained a teaching credential from San Jose State
University.
Ms. Richelieu is past President of Monterey
County Women Lawyers Association and is a past and current
member of that Executive Board as well as the Executive Committee
of the Monterey County Bar Association and has been the secretary
of the Monterey County Bar Association for the past three
years. She is also a member of the Association of Defense
Counsel, California Women Lawyers, and is a participating
judge in the High School Mock Trial Competition sponsored
by the Constitutional Rights Foundation and a mentor in the
Elementary Law Program. She enjoys organizing programs and
events for the legal community.
Gardening, dancing, travel, and teaching piano
are favorite activities.
