Experience:
Mr. Dwyer has been with the Grunsky Law Firm since 2003. Mr. Dwyer has tried trust and financial elder abuse cases in the probate division, and has successfully tried numerous civil matters in both bench and jury trials. These trials have involved an array of legal issues, including personal injury, negligence, and agricultural surface water run-off.
He has also handled wrongful death cases on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, and has served as a judge pro tem, mediator, and arbitrator for the Superior Court of Santa Cruz County.
Education:
Mr. Dwyer received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego in 1983. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in biology and English, at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Mr. Dwyer is admitted to the California Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Community Activities and Affiliations:
Mr. Dwyer is a past board member of CASA and the Santa Cruz County Law Library, where he served as president. He is also a board member and president elect of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association. He has also volunteered with the Santa Cruz Trial Lawyers Elementary Law and the High School Mock Trial Programs. Mr. Dwyer volunteers in his community by helping the elderly and single heads of household with home maintenance.
