Experience
Dennis P. Howell is a shareholder in the firm. His trial experience includes many high-profile cases, and he has represented the prevailing party in several published decisions. His clients include Starbucks Corporation, Regents of the University of California, Granite Construction, Safeway, and Portola Motors. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Howell served in the United States Marine Corp for three years, attaining the rank of Captain.
Education
Mr. Howell received his law degree from University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1977 and earned his B.A. from the same institution in 1970.

Mr. Howell is admitted to the California Bar and the U. S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
Professional Organizations and Activities
Mr. Howell is a member-advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. From 2000-2004, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada. He is the current President of the California Defense Counsel, a position he has held since 2008. From 2000 through 2008, he was a member of their Board of Directors. Mr. Howell is also a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys.
In addition, Mr. Howell is on the Board of Directors of the Agricultural History Project of the Pajaro Valley and an active member of the Rotary Club.
