Dinah V. Sapia

Attorney Biography

Dinah's litigation experience began with her work at the San Benito and Monterey County District Attorneys' offices. There she was successful in prosecuting criminal cases through trial by being fully prepared. Litigation still remains the focus of Dinah's practice, although now she exclusively litigates in the civil arena. The hallmark of Dinah's practice is total commitment to in-depth preparation. Dinah is also a member of the Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association, and President of the Women Lawyers of Santa Cruz County. Dinah is also a board member of California Women Lawyers.

Dinah has significant administrative law experience from her work as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the City of Santa Cruz, and for the Agricultural Commissioners/Weights & Measures in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Contra Costa Counties. She also gives seminars on how to effectively advocate in an administrative setting.

Dinah stays very active in the Santa Cruz County community. She is a current Commissioner on the Santa Cruz County Women's Commission, and a participating member of the American Association of University Women, the U.C.S.C. Women's Club, and the Women In Business section of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce.

Dinah graduated law school at the top of her class, and was honored with the West Publishing Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. Before law school, Dinah served five years active duty in the United States Coast Guard, where she learned to live by the Coast Guard motto, Semper Paratus ~ which means, Always Ready.
